Alpha Duplication would like to take this opportunity to wish you a thoroughly Merry Christmas!

We’ll be taking the next few days off to indulge in seasonal festivities.
The office will be closed from 1pm on Friday 23 December & reopening on Wednesday 28th. We’ll also be closed from on the 31st of December to the 2nd of Jan for New Year. Normal service will resume on the Tuesday 3rd January as we get stuck into 2017.

Until then … Happy Christmas!

Charity Friday for Bucks Age UK

By | Social & Environmental, The Alpha Team

We’re proud to have done some great work for national charities over the years so we thought that it might be good to raise some money for a local one.  As the winter months bring with them bitter weather conditions alongside increasingly high fuel prices, it can be a difficult and frightening time for some older people.  With this in mind we thought that Buckinghamshire Age UK would be a relevant cause to donate to.

Last Friday we held a fundraising day for the charity. For a bit of extra fun (& coziness) many of us donned our onesies and PJs for the day.

Alpha Duplication Onesie Team

Apart from being quite the eye-opener as to how the team attire themselves in the privacy of their own homes, it made an unusual day to be able to count a crocodile, giraffe, baboon, reindeer, chimp and wolf amongst our colleagues. Maybe next time we should open up a pop up zoo!

ageuk-raffleEven those whose dignity was too high a price to pay were still involved. The day also included a raffle, raising £108.80. And of course the customary Alpha Cake Sale was also open.

It’s a great pleasure to be able to support the Buckinghamshire Age UK with the wonderful work they do. They make a huge difference in many lives, being a real lifeline to those who otherwise find themselves very isolated.

Please take a moment to visit their website to learn about what they do and how you can help too.

We wish you a Merry Christmas!

Our Secret Ingredient

By | The Alpha Team

As any chef will tell you, a dish is only as good as the ingredients that go into it. Whether we’re cooking up CDs, DVDs, packaging or printing, the quality of the ingredients is something that we never compromise.

We always use top quality media, professional duplication equipment, printers and packaging materials. Not only that, but we’re constantly looking for ways to develop and make things even better. But there is one ingredient that makes Alpha Duplication truly special… the team.

We have over forty team members in our High Wycombe and Leeds offices and whilst they’re a varied bunch, they all play an equally vital role in making sure that your discs are perfect.

At Alpha everyone is involved in training, whether as trainee or trainer.  Our comprehensive training program not only helps each one of us to fulfil our potential but it also ensures that we are constantly improving as a company too.

And we don’t think it would be immodest to have a little boast about the latest members of staff to gain new qualifications and certificates to put on their wall:

Print Team:

  • Ganesh can now boast a Level 2 NVQ in Machine Printing – Lithography
  • Jeff now holds a Level 3 NVQ in Machine Printing – Screen
  • Adam is about to complete his apprenticeship in Lithography Level 3

  • Sabeena has passed her AAT Level 2 with flying colours

  • Georgie has just been awarded her Certificate in Quality Management

We also have a proactive internal training scheme to ensure that all our staff have the knowledge and skills required to keep us at the forefront of the CD and DVD printing and duplication industry and enable us to continue to give you product and service that goes beyond your expectations.  After all, the quality of our business is built on the quality of our staff!
