West London dustbowl balladeers The Ely Plains will be releasing their debut album in a few weeks’ time.

Taking their lead from greats such as Woody Guthrie and Hank Williams the bands’ austerity blues provide the perfect soundtrack to these belt-tightening times.

At Alpha we helped them create the well received ‘Ely Plains EP’ by producing a vinyl-effect screen printed CD packed in a card wallet that uses depression-era photography to reflect their 1940s influences. The theme has been continued with their first full length album, ‘The National Bandstand’.
